This little mushroom fairy proved to be more time consuming than I’d anticipated, but I’m pleased with the results. I’ve been working on this painting since last weekend and was beginning to think that I wouldn’t complete it before the week was done. This painting is based on a tutorial in Linda Ravenscroft’s book, “How to Draw and Paint Fairies.”
Here’s a close up view of her face.
She’s lovely! I took a peek at the book on Amazon and it looks interesting. From there I went to Youtube and found so many tutorials on how to draw figures as well. I’m trying my hand on that once in a while!
Thank you, Shree. I need lots of practice drawing figures. I’m finding this book to be a great resource.
Absolutely incredible! The shading is beautifully done, and the colors are so vibrant! It’s perfect, Auntie J. So lovely.
Thanks, Jen. I think you would enjoy painting her, too.
I forwarded your link to my Aunt.
She will love to see this fairy!
So beautifully done.
Thank you, Mary. I had fun painting her.
Beeeeautiful little fairie, Jill! Love it!
Thanks, Beth!
Mark another one in the ‘win’ column! The mushrooms in the background are astonishing. Vibrant color; delicately blended.
I love those two colors together–first time I used that combo. The colors are l’Aquarelle by Sennelier in chinese orange and a very diluted Winsor Newton raw sienna.
Lots of detail here-lovely.
Yes, lots of detail! Thanks, Elena.
She is a beauty, Jill.
Thank you, Francesca. 🙂
Wonderful! Wonderful once again! Am so impressed by my girls!
Thanks, mom!
Nice work!
Thank you, Larisa.
Lovely! I have the same book and my efforts are in no way so finished 🙂
Keep working your way through the tutorials. The more you try, the more your skills will improve. Thanks for your comments!
great drawing! I admire crispness and freshness of colors.
Thank you.
