I love Fauquier County in the fall. I love warm afternoons and chilly nights, changing leaves and clear blue skies, fall festivals and funnel cakes, fish frys and country music, and afternoons spent picking apples and touring local dairy farms. This past weekend we visited the Cows-N-Corn dairy farm in Midland, Virginia.
My daughter and her friends had a blast running through the corn maze, taking hay rides, petting the farm animals, and riding in the cow carts. After spending the evening going through the photos, I suddenly have a hankering for a cup of hot apple cider–or a Starbuck’s caramel apple spice–YUM! Here are some more photos.
Simple pleasures are the best.

Haha, that little cow train is hilarious! It does look like gorgeous weather! Holy cow, can’t recall the last time I had some hot apple cider. (Whatever it was, I think it had a bit of rum or something in it, if I was being honest.) 🙂
They are adorable. They were made out of some type of metal drum.
Nice photos! That Caramel apple spice does sound good!!
It does. I haven’t made it out to Starbucks this week, so I hooked myself up with my own version of a pumpkin spice latte. Took me two tries to get it right. 🙂
Beautiful fall scenes. I love the cow train.
Me, too, I thought it was clever and cute.
Lovely shots , Jill
Thanks, Violet.
Great post! Looks like great fun. Wish I had been there
Well, if you get your butt out here for a visit, you’d could have been here.
