Watercolors on cold pressed Canson Aquarelle/Acuarela paper. This is my daughter’s version of the same watercolor painting that I’m currently working on. I like her use of quick, short strokes to give the impression of feathers and the intensity and vibrancy of her colors. I enjoy watching her paint and seeing the differences in our painting styles. Step-by-step instructions for completing this project are contained in the book, “Painting Garden Birds” by Sherry C. Nelson.

Very nice! Watercolor is a mystery to me. I use acrylics. It sure helps to see pictures like this. Love these little guys. Nice job!
Thank you. My daughter and I are just learning how to use watercolors; we’ve both been creating computer graphics for years and wanted to try something new.
How wonderful! Looks like the transition is going well. 🙂
Very nice technique, indeed! I’ll be checking for the next versions of your works.
